About Our programming
The Washington Neighborhood Center offers a variety of programs with a focus on education, recreation, wellness, culture, the arts, and youth development. Our goal is to provide an empowering, inter-generational space for youth, artists, and marginalized peoples.
Our programs are a key in holding space for marginalized communities. Through cultural programming, the Center offers opportunities for Chicano, Indigenous, and other marginalized communities to connect with our roots, engage in our traditions and cultural practices, and find community.
The Center also offers a wide range of youth-focused and all-ages programming. Our youth is our future – and we’re proud to provide children and young adults with opportunities to learn, grow, and thrive in a safe and positive environment.

We’re expanding our programming.
From 2024 – 2025, the Center will undergo major construction to fully restore our historic building. This renovation project will open a host of new facilities, and pave the way for impactful expansions to our current programming.

Our teachings encompass singing, dancing, drumming, arts and crafts. We strive to help people lead lives that promote unity, good relationships, growth and balance.
